I am a writer.
A manipulator of words;
a creator of sentences;
a contortionist of letters, rhythm, and beat;
an expert of definition;
an author of stories;
a poet of sonnets;
a rapper of songs;
a master of opinions;
a developer of ideas;
a genius of rhyme;
a teacher of meaning;
a teller of time;
I am a writer.
A recounter of the memorable;
a keeper of the desirable;
a teller of fantasies;
a wizard of creation and possessor of imagination.
The invincible;
the invisible;
the fighter of illusions;
the sentimental and emotional;
the presenter of aspirations;
the main inspiration;
the sensational and the remarkable.
I am a writer.
I am the negative;
the positive;
the destroyed and invented;
the start of innovation and the push-pull idealist cynic of today, tomorrow and the yesterday.
I am a writer.

I love this!!! I am grappling right now with the negative...with all those critical voices inside my head saying, 'You aren't a writer. What made you THINK you could write a novel?' I guess we all deal with them but it's definitely the downside of writing.
Ive never been told I was a bad writer but I constantly think so. This poem, I wrote about 2 years ago, when I felt I was deep in the slums with my writing. I had to repost it so I could remember what I love about writing and feel positive about it. =)
Words tell the tale and you seem to know how to make them dance to your tune....nice piece of work....Also thank you for comment on my blog, a few people have said to me they cant wear glasses as they feel restricted in them not aided by them....
Thanks Gingeyginge!
and yes thats exactly what I was looking to say. I wasnt sure how to describe it though. I dont know though, i think its also a very personal choice. I know a lot of folks who prefer glasses over contacts.
