Trio part 7

Alexa waited as Noah showered. She soon started letting her eyes roam around. She was beginning to feel the wine realizing she had most of the bottle when she gave it a quick glance. She decided to focus on the television and saw that the news was on. She wanted to change the channel and couldn't find the remotes. She rummaged through the pillows and still couldn't find them. She didn't want to watch the news.

"Why was the news on anyway?" she said quietly to herself.

Just then, Noah walked in, seeing her fuss around his couch. He picked up the remote and asked her if she were looking for it to which she nodded to.

"It was on, by the way, because I wanted to know today's weather."

She looked a little shocked forgetting that she had been asking herself about the channel the television had been on. She sat back down and relaxed. He chuckled at her reaction. He sat down beside her and let her hold the remote.

"Were we not going to speak about things, Alex?"
"I'm not sure anymore why I am here."
"Why not?"
"I just want to know the truth. How do you feel? Do you want to be with me? I don't like this, Noah. I'm a church girl. I do relationships. I don't know anything about dating..."
"Shhh! One thing at a time."
"No, Noah, I need to know these things."
"Listen, I like you a lot. I just don't know if I want to settle down. I don't know if I can handle a monogamous relationship. I haven't been a monogamous person in a long time. You don't deserve to have someone like me by your side."
"It'll only be hard if you allow it to be. You either want to be with me or you don't. And I believe you just answered that."

She got up to leave but slipped back onto the couch. She had way too much to drink and could barely stand straight.

"Would you like for me to drive you home?" Noah helped sit her up so she wouldn't get dizzy from the fall.
"Yes, please."

He helped her up and outside his house. Careful to not lose his grip on her, he led the way to his car. Once in and doors locked, he drove her to her house. He turned on the music and glanced towards her seat. She was fast asleep. Thirty minutes later, they had arrived to her house. He looked for her keys and carried her inside. He left her on her bed and locked her door. Once he got back to his car, he started to think about what had been said. She liked him a lot and that was obvious, but he wondered: could he be faithful to her?
