cant let go part 5

Ryan

And there she is in front of my house just how I knew she was going to be. I dont understand why she couldnt just say that she was coming. Why make it seem like she wasnt going to? Is it that difficult to get a yes or no out of women?

Angel waited for him to walk up the steps to the front door. She was freezing in the brisk cold air that lingered in the heavy clouds of the night. Her legs were mostly at the recieving end of the abusive, frigid wind. Once she got up the stairs to the apartment, she quickly took off her shoes and jumped under the nearest covers. Anything warm was her body's friend.

"You seem distant tonight. Are you okay?" She couldn't help but ask him. It was bothering her all night not knowing what was wrong and there was something definitely wrong.

"Nothing. Just tired." Tired seemed to be the answer to all her questions these days.

And so she pushed:
"Are you sure? You seem a little preoccupied. Maybe I should go home."
"You're fine where you are."

He saw Angel get more comfortable in his bed, pulling the covers just below her chin. Another half hour and she would probably fall asleep. He sat down on the edge of the bed, staring at her pretty face, he wanted to say something but it would only kill the moment. She tugged at his arm, trying to pull him to lay down next to her. Anyone could tell this was the part of the night that he hated most. Giving himself to Angel, knowing his heart wasn't completely with her. He let himself lay down with his head on her chest, letting her wrap her arms around him. She wasn't going to try anything but he knew he wasn't so easily to trust when it came to intentions and desires. She looked amazing tonight. It wasn't a look she put on often and it was hard to conceal what he had in mind. When he looked up at her again, she was fast asleep. Soon after, still in her arms, so was he.
