Yesterday while on facebook, I was reminded of one of my and my dad's all time favorite movies: Full Metal Jacket. Now if you dont know what I am talking about. Get your butt to Blockbuster (before its closed down forever!) and rent it. Then make sure you watch it!

I am trying to embed this in here and its not working. However, visit the link. Its pretty cool if you like gory, bloody stuff. It is not meant for the easily nauseated nor the mentally weak. Its a pretty emotionally intense scene.
PS This might show some of the interesting mentality of the soldier that appeals to most people. Well, msot importantly, the militarial mentality that appeals to me BUT I would never want to have. I like my mind the way it is. ;-)

I worked at a movie theater when this came out. Every now and then I'd help out the ushers and go do a "theater check," where you make sure the sound, temperature, etc. was okay. (Crazy job, by the way, since you're up walking around and hot anyway, so you can't really tell if it's cool or not just by walking through.) ANYWAY...that was the ONE SCENE of that movie I happened to see...and it is why I have never seen that movie all the way through. I STILL haven't watched it all the way to the end. It's seriously freaking me out, just listening to the beginning of it! That guy's voice...eek!
eeekkk! This is freaky!! Crazy people like this make me pee a little.
I love gory. Great scene. It's not exactly the kind of thing that makes me happy but I get why it's yours. I already love the Sound of Music but knowing how much my father loves it, makes it mean so much more to me.
