safety nets... a rant.

Its funny how quick my heart sets up its safety nets: First it turns to ice, then grows the stone walls, bars itself around with plenty of padlocks and eventually the walls crumble, the ice melts and the locks are picked. The heart desires what it desires and when it feels its going to hurt and break, it does everything to lessen the fall. When you're in love, you keep falling and falling and falling sometimes forever deeper and deeper other times until it reaches the ground. Everything shatters and it just wants to put itself together. It forces itself to heal after time whining and letting everything go. Once its healed and done sealing itself off from the world, it repeats the process. That person who knows his or her way around those defense mechanisms will put his ways to work. Sometimes he or she avoid the sweet spots but its in what they do that makes your heart readily available again. Its in what they do that allows you to love again. Its in what they do that lets you be yourself with the world again. No more walls. No more jailed locks. No more ice.
